Ajit Singh Ahuja popularly known as Ajit was born in Sargodha, India in 1943. Happily married and is blessed with one son.

Completed his education up to Mechanical Engineering followed by Industrial Management in India. Worked in India in various organizations such as Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Larsen and Tuobro Ltd and Humphreys and Glagow Consulting Engineers Ltd, before moving to Chingola Zambia in 1980 as an Expatriate Employee in Copper Mines.

Moved to Botswana in 1983 and commenced own Engineering Services establishment called A.S.A. Enterprises (Pty) Ltd (ASA). Today ASA is a multi disciplined group of companies with diversified activities in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering. ASA is now one of the leading 100% Citizen Owned Multi Million Dollars Group employing over 300 employees.

Ajit was the steering Committee Member which led the formation of Indo Botswana Chamber of Commerce Industries. He was later elected as Founder Vice Chairman of Indo Botswana Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Ajit is well respected member of Sikh and Hindu Communities in Botswana. He has been Chairman of Sikh Council of Botswana for several years. Currently Executive Committee Member of Sikh Council of Botswana and is Vice Chairman of Botswana Hindu Foundation. He is a visionary in the field of Faith propagation and charity work. He attended the Parliament of World Religions in Cape Town in 1999.

Ajit is actively involved and is a regular Donor to School of Deaf and has also sponsored several Orphan Children for their Education. He is regular sponsor of S.O.S. Children’s Village and Cheshire Home (Physical Handicapped Institutions).

Ajit has been frequent visitor and speaker on subject of Religious Forums at Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town Sikh Temples.
