Religions for Peace continues to foster multi-religious collaboration and action at the global, regional, national, and local levels through its six regional and 92 national Interreligious Councils. This is a legacy that has continued for more than 50 years. This month, the Secretary General of Religions for Peace, Prof. Azza Karam, continues in the effort to give life and action to the global strategy by engaging in the following key activities and events.
From 1-6 September, Professor Karam gave a keynote address moderating and making presentations at the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Karlsruhe, Germany.
She also addressed two conferences hosted in Singapore on inclusion and diversity and on Muslim legacies of social cohesion:
She met with the newly celebrated first H.E. Cardinal William Goh, Archbishop of Singapore, and Mr. Lawrence Chong of the Interreligious Council of Singapore.

From 13-15 September, she will be speaking alongside His Eminence, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, and His Holiness Pope Francis at the 7th Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
Finally, Professor Karam will travel to Tokyo, Japan where Religions for Peace will host the opening series of Peace and Reconciliation Roundtables in partnership with the Asian Conference of Religions for Peace and Religions for Peace-Japan.
