Chief Rabbi David Rosen, former Chief Rabbi of Ireland, is the Special Advisor to the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi.

Rabbi David Rosen is the former Chief Rabbi of Ireland. He served for twenty-three years as the International Director of interreligious Affairs of the American Jewish Committee, leaving this position recently to serve as Special Advisor on Interfaith and Jewish Affairs to the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi.

He is a member of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel’s Commission for Interreligious Relations; and is an International Co-President of Religions for Peace. He is former chair of the International Jewish Committee for Interreligious Consultations (that represents world Jewry to other world religious bodies) and was the first Jewish member of the Board of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue.

He is Honorary President of the International Council of Christians and Jews, a member of the Elijah Interfaith Institute’s Board of World Religious Leaders, and of the World Council of Religious Leaders. He is also a founder of Rabbis for Human Rights. Among various awards and honors for his interfaith work, he was knighted by Pope Benedict XVI and made a Commander of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.
