She holds a PhD in Sikh Studies and has a keen interest in multi-religious engagement and education. She was one of the inaugural Faiths Act Fellows for an interfaith program run by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation and the Interfaith Youth Core, which harnessed interfaith action towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals; and also one of the Interfaith Youth Core’s Interfaith Innovation Fellows.

She previously served as Education Director at the Kaur Foundation and then at the Sikh Coalition, the largest Sikh civil rights organization in North America, before returning to the UK.
