Master Ven. Yanjue serves as Executive Vice President of the China Buddhist Association and Vice President, China Committee on Religions and Peace (CCRP).

Master Ven. Yanjue is from the Han ethnic group and was born in 1956.

He has been a Buddhist monk since 1981.

Since 2005, he has become the abbot of Guangji temple in Beijing.

In 2016, he was granted a doctor of Buddhism and Philosophy, honoris causa by Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University in Thailand.

Now, he is Vice President of CCRP and Executive Vice President of China Buddhist Association.
