Ms. Jesslyn Metta serves as a member of the Religions for Peace Youth Media Team, currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

She is pursuing her passion as a fashion designer and is undertaking a Bachelors’s Degree in Fashion Education from the State University of Jakarta.

Born the daughter of a Buddhist activist, she grew up with sufficient knowledge about Social Activism from her father who encouraged her to join the Union of Indonesian Buddhist Students in 2015. She’s now the head of the research and development division on the national level of the Union of Indonesian Buddhist Students (HIKMAHBUDHI) and has been representing her organisation on both the National and International level through various interfaith and peace dialogues and workshops.

Being an adventurous and constructive youth engagement enthusiast, her long term goal is to empower women and youth through her sustainable and ethical fashion brand, that rides on the nexus between Modern Art and Social Activism.
