Andrés Mauricio Quevedo Rodríguez is an academic, author, President of the International Ecumenical Fellowship – Latin America Region, and a member of the International Youth Committee.

Ph.D. Candidate in Orthodox Theology at Babeș-Bolyai University (Cluj, Romania), Andrés Mauricio Quevedo Rodríguez holds a Master’s degree in Theology and a Canonical Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia). He also earned a Master’s degree in Contemporary Philosophy and a Licentiate in Theology from Universidad de San Buenaventura (Bogotá, Colombia).

As a lecturer, he has worked at the Interdisciplinary Center for Humanistic Studies (CIDEH) at Universidad de San Buenaventura and in various ecclesial settings, such as the Latin American Episcopal Council and Fundación Santa María. He has participated in research projects related to Dominican-Thomistic tradition (2023–2025), ecumenism (2018–2019), Meister Eckhart’s spirituality (2016), religious transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean (2015–2016), ecumenism in Colombia (2013), and the theology of the cross (2012–2013).

He is the author of the books From the East Toward God: The Human Being as the Image of God in Ioannis Zizioulas’ Thought (2019) and Dialogue for Encounter: A Training Module on Ecumenism (2019), as well as several research articles. He has collaborated as an editor of scientific publications and as a peer reviewer for academic events.

He serves as President of the International Ecumenical Fellowship – Latin America Region, is a founding member of the Latin American Network of Patristic Studies, and a fellow at The International Dialogue Center (KAICIID). He is a hypodeacon of the Orthodox Church and representative of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in Colombia for ecumenism and interreligious dialogue. Currently, he is a research professor in ecumenism, interreligious dialogue, and systematic theology at Universidad Santo Tomás and teaches Church History at Universidad de San Buenaventura.
