Follow along with what Religions for Peace is up to for COP27
Religions for Peace, in partnership with the City Council of Manresa, Spain, Catalonia, present a multisectoral intergenerational answer to the social and environmental crisis: At a Crossroads: An Intergenerational and Multireligious Response to the Social and Environmental Crisis!
We invite you to take an active part in this international spirituality forum from 28-30 November which will seek to explore the climate crisis from a multi-religious perspective, emphasizing the role of youth and women.
During COP27, on 9 November, Religions for Peace, The Bahá’í International Community, the Anglican Communion, and Tzu Chi organised a side event entitled “Realizing Ambition through Ethical, Intergenerational and Multisectoral Responses to Climate Crises.”
People of faith gathered at COP27 on 6 November, to call on the UNFCCC and all those who gathered at COP27 to address the human rights that have been in danger due to the climate crisis, assess and raise awareness of the losses and damages that have occurred due to the climate crisis, include the participation and voices of Indigenous peoples, women and youth to implement solutions to the climate crisis, and more. Religions for Peace is committed to ensuring that these concerns, and more, are taken into consideration when upholding and implementing one of its Six Key Priorities, Nurturing a Sustainable Environment.
