Religion and Ecological Civilization: Harmonious Coexistence Between Human and Nature

Global warming-linked natural disasters and extreme weather—occurring with greater frequency—have had severe impacts on human life, health, and economic and social development. A sound ecological environment is critically necessary not only to livelihoods and well-being, but also for the future of people and the planet. Responding to global climate change, while promoting the recovery of the world economy and resilience of societies, are key issues that we must address.

Building upon these insights, on 21 December, the China Committee on Religions and Peace (CCRP) and Religions for Peace, International hosted a conversation on ‘Religions and Ecological Civilization – Harmonious Coexistence between Humans and Nature.’
